The Camp
We created our camp with the traditional Berber way of living in mind.
Our ethos is simple: to create tranquility and a deep connection to nature, while sharing the hospitality and true Berber spirit of our desert team.
Located on the east side of the erg Chebbi dunes, we chose this spot using the ancient art of water divining. With a simple forked twig as our tool, we searched for and found the ideal location rich in natural water sources.
We’re proudly eco-conscious and continually take steps to reduce our footprint in the sand. Solar panels power the lights that guide you around camp, and to cut down on single-use plastics, we serve drinking water from five-litre bottles, poured into glasses, jugs, or your own reusable bottle. And nothing goes to waste here. Food peels are fed to our camels, keeping everything part of the natural desert cycle.
Our camp features spacious tents and peaceful gardens where you can relax and unwind. We also serve delicious meals tailored to your preferences, all delivered with warm hospitality and attentive service.
Meet the boys & Pandora
We adore our Palace camels you'll meet Romeo, Yuften, Casanova, Orion, Artemis and our beloved female, Pandora. These gentle giants each have their own unique personalities, and yes, they love to eat and drink plenty!
We take great care of them, ensuring they’re well-fed, rested, and happy. During the day, they wander off with their herd to relax and graze on nearby plants and thorny bushes. In the early morning and evening, they’re back in action, taking our guests on peaceful treks across the dunes to experience the magic of sunrise and sunset.

Sustainability & Care
We’re committed to preserving the delicate beauty of the desert and remain mindful of our desert environment. We continually look for ways to reduce our footprint in the sand. Our camp runs on solar power, with only occasional use of a generator housed a dune away.
We use water responsibly and are committed to reducing single-use plastics wherever possible. To help protect our beautiful desert environment, we provide drinking water from 5-litre bottles, served in glasses, water jugs, or poured into guests’ own reusable bottles.
We’ve created an eco-friendly watering system using repurposed pipes, allowing the garden to be gently watered throughout the day, conserving precious resources while keeping every plant thriving.
We work closely with local families and artisans, sourcing ingredients and materials to support the Merzouga community.
Our camp is styled with beautiful artworks crafted from recycled metal, lovingly shaped into graceful animal forms by the talented artists of Chez Les Artistes in Khamila village. Within our garden of sand and shade, we are home to a small family of creatures, a mother and baby tortoise, a gentle lizard and even a playful baby camel, all who share this peaceful space among the trees.

Our desert garden now has over 130 plants and fruit-bearing trees, such as olives, almonds, figs, date palms, as well as orange, lemon and pomegranate trees. Providing the fresh flavours that inspire our homemade drinks and desserts.
Our inside sitting room and shade rooms are cosy and beautifully decorated with creations made by local artists and furnishings sourced from our local souks.
Outside, we’ve designed peaceful seating areas with privacy and relaxation in mind.
You’ll also find a collection of games, including Giant Jenga, chess, checkers and Uno, offering moments of playful relaxation.
It's a foodie affair
We know how important food is for a memorable experience.
The beauty of Moroccan cuisine shines through in every dish, with vibrant notes of saffron, cumin, paprika, and other beloved spices.
Our menus are guided by the seasons, inspired by the freshest produce available each day and tailored thoughtfully to guest dietary requirements and food preferences.
Our chef crafts a delicious blend of Moroccan flavors and comforting classics, using fresh local ingredients from our local green grocer and butcher in Merzouga village.
All meals are served at a time to suit guests.
